This being said, I took a drive around this afternoon to record the water flowing in the area where I live. We had a significant amount of rain, lastly in Oct 2005. I saw one house that again was flooded to the same extent that it was back in Oct 2005 unfortunately.
I took a lot of photos, so I hope that I don't bore you, but I was just fascinated by the incredible amounts of water flowing through our area. Fortunately, for the most part, I did not find a lot of water in areas where it shouldn't have been, so we are definitely counting our blessings.
baseball anyone?

not your ideal backyard or side yard

this is a local bar that typically has a nice waterview, but not quite like this!

Lori, this is across from your old apartment

I shot this same area a couple of months ago at dusk. http://brandyhutchinson.blogspot.com/2010/02/snowy-night.html You can't quite see the difference, but it's absolutely incredible!

this waterline is typically down at least 6' or so

you can see how this dam typically flows if you check out my landscapes... http://www.brandyhutchinson.com/landscapes/index.html# it's the sixth photo in

I'm not really certain what purpose the cone is serving on top of the rail...

I don't think I'll be fitting underneath this bridge with my kayak anytime soon

not much of a boat ramp right now
