First Time

Late last week, I was shooting in a lovely shopping plaza. The sky was pretty cool, and I liked the way the flag was waving in the wind. The flag happened to be outside of a bank. Well, for the first time since starting this venture, I actually had someone ask me what I was doing. She kindly asked me if I needed help, and I said "No, I'm just taking a photo of your flag." She backed back into the bank, looking at me funny as I took the shot. It's not that impressive of a shot, but it's in remembrance of the experience.

North Smithfield

Yesterday I ventured out into North Smithfield while the sun was out. I dragged my mom along for this adventure.

Newport

Monday, I took advantage of the gorgeous weather to head down to Newport for the afternoon. It was a beautiful day with not so moody clouds, but that's ok.

Baptism

I had the privilege of becoming a godmother for the second time yesterday. Here are a few photos of my two cutie godsons.

Polo

Due to extenuating circumstances, I wasn't able to get out and shoot on saturday. BUT, I did find some photos, that I shot the day before I began this adventure. I can't believe it's already been 17 days of shooting thus far! Thanks for everyone's support and motivation!

Wandering Around Downtown

Tonight, I headed into Providence to go get tickets to see Wicked in December - so excited!! After that, I wandered around the downtown area near PPAC and JWU. Even with the gray day, there was some nice light in the late evening.

Farm Stand

Last night I had the intention of going to the North Central Airport in Lincoln to shoot. After getting off the exit, I had a 50/50 chance of guessing which direction to go into to get to the airport. It's a really good thing that I don't gamble, because I guessed wrong, but I happened to find this cute little farm stand next to a - you guessed it - a farm. :)

I did end up finding the airport, but nothing really inspired me. Oh well!

More funky clouds

Wednesday night was another night of really cool clouds. There used to be a water tower on the property of an old mill, but all that's left of all it are these old concrete footings, and miscellaneous insulation strewn about. The mill is a little worse for the wear as well.

Lagging Behind

I've been slacking at posting the past couple of days of shooting, but that's going to stop now. The next two posts are from the past two days of shooting...

Bubbles and Lines

So, tonight I went out to shoot bubbles again. I got a little bubble maker to make my life easier, which didn't quite work as planned. I couldn't get it angled in the correct direction, so I tried to prop it, and as shown in the last photo, that didn't work too well.

And as usual, I found interesting lines to shoot at the local sports field. I've been playing with flash a lot, especially with the sun setting so early in the evening now.

Fun with Flash

Today I ventured out into Glocester, RI. I love the feel of fall in the air! Today was so cruddy with the rain that I didn't think I'd be able to get out and shoot. Well, the rain cleared and I was able to get out in the late afternoon. I wandered around town and then went to the walking trails. The light was very flat, so I pulled out the flash to see what I could create. I've also been infatuated with finding trash where it shouldn't be.

Trip to the Airport

I headed down to Warwick last night to pick my hubby up from the airport. I didn't have a whole lot of time to venture around and find interesting things, so I just started shooting the sky. The clouds had this weird wave-like shape to them which was cool. Although, I did find the muffler I had been looking for.
