Hiking in George Washington

Today we headed out and did a 6-mile hike at the George Washington State Park. It was absolutely gorgeous with the snow falling, and snow on the ground. Then later in the afternoon, the sun was streaming through the clouds.

Snowy Night

Tonight, the light driving home with the snow falling was very pretty. I followed the sound of the water, and grabbed my tripod. I loved the contrast of the yellow glow from the lights of buildings, with the blueish tint of the sky. The light reminded me a lot of an artist I love, Alexei Butirskiy http://www.reigngallery.com/butirskiy.html

Valentine's Day

For Valentines day Steve and I headed out to go hiking at Purgatory Chasm in Sutton, MA. As we were driving, I made him turn around so I could get a shot of a field that I saw. He asked if I was serious! Ha - he should know better than that by now :)

The slope of the field and the blue skies and birds was just too cool to pass up.

Then when we got to purgatory, the ice and chasm was very cool. A short hike, but beautiful none the less.
