Beavertail

I spent an evening a couple of weeks ago shooting down at Beavertail in Jamestown. It was raining heading down there and it looked like it was going to be a complete wash-out. I dodged a few raindrops and was able to get some great shots!

I've Been MIA

I haven't posted anything to my blog in a very long time, and this is the reason why....

Trains

While we were up in North Conway, I spent a little time at the train station. I love the old building, and the feel of the trains.

New Years in NH

For New Years this year, we headed up to North Conway, NH for the long weekend. It was a gorgeous weekend, unseasonably warm temperatures. My plan was to go snowshoeing a couple of days, but there wasn't enough snow for us to go out in - very ironic considering the amount of snow we have been inundated with in the month of January and February.

One thing I'm noticing is that I'm slightly obsessed with old light fixtures :) Oh yeah, and panoramic views.

Newport in September

While my cousin was visiting in September, we went for the obligatory walk along the Cliff Walk, and then for lunch at the always fabulous Flo's Clam Shack!
Here are my two favorites...

NYC

In early December I headed down to the city for a day to wander around and get me into the Christmas spirit. It's impossible not to get in the spirit with all of the decorations surrounding you.

We spent a lot of time in Bryant Park - it was so peaceful and festive, even with the thousands of people walking around. We also headed to see the beautiful window displays at Macy's.

By the end of the day though, I was done with people! Don't encounter that many people in the sticks of RI :)

Christmas Card Portraits

I don't typically do portraits, but a friend asked me if I would take photos of her daughter for their Christmas card. How could I resist that little face?

Initially, she wasn't as excited about the venture as her mother, but she was a trooper. I love the brightness of her dress in contrast to the leaves.

Columbus Day in New Hampshire

I headed up to New Hampshire for a short visit with my sister on Columbus Day. We headed north to Weirs Beach and just kept wandering from there.

The foliage wasn't quite at its peak, so I didn't get the colors I was hoping for, but we found some beautiful scenery nonetheless.

I am WAY behind

I have sadly neglected my blog for many months now! So, the images you are going to see, might seem a little dated. But, it is nice to see photos without snow on the ground.
